Ghana and Canada to Host 2026 Investment Forum

Ghana and Canada will convene an investment forum in Toronto on June 15, 2026. This event aims to deepen economic cooperation and foster partnerships between the two nations.

The 2026 Ghana-Canada Investment Forum will strategically explore investment opportunities. It will also advance initiatives supporting Ghana’s economic transformation agenda. The forum seeks to strengthen commercial ties between Canada and Ghana.

This initiative aligns with Ghana's broader strategy to attract foreign direct investment and boost its economy. Ghana is actively seeking partners for its industrialization and export expansion efforts. The event builds on existing bilateral relationships, pushing for greater economic integration.

The forum is organised by Strategic Communications Africa Limited (Stratcomm Africa) and Kwakaf International. Esther A. N. Cobbah, Founder and CEO of Stratcomm Africa, highlighted the historical ties between Ghana and Canada. She expressed excitement about building on these connections for mutual benefit.

A key focus of the forum will be Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+). This policy aims to boost industrialization, increase exports, and create jobs. Officials will provide insights into the policy’s objectives and its potential for growth. Canadian businesses and investors can explore ways to contribute to and benefit from Ghana's economic transformation.

His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse, will chair the event. The Chief Of Staff at the Office of The President, Julius Debrah, is the Special Guest of Honour. Hon. Gyakye Quayson, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, will deliver the keynote address. Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) is the Lead Sponsor, demonstrating its commitment to Ghana's economic development.

A notable feature is the Deal Room Session, facilitated by ThirdWay Capital. This Canadian impact-focused investment firm invests in growth-ready small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Sub-Saharan Africa. The session will connect high-level delegates and investors. It will showcase compelling investment opportunities in Ghana and catalyze strategic partnerships.

The forum is timed to coincide with the FIFA World Cup period. This timing will leverage the presence of a diverse international audience. It creates a unique platform for investors, business leaders, and policymakers to connect. Delegates can explore mutually beneficial opportunities and forge strategic partnerships. This timing enhances trade and economic collaboration between Ghana and Canada. The event seeks tangible outcomes from these interactions.
