Twenty-four companies and two key industry figures received accolades at the 10th Ghana Manufacturing Awards. The ceremony celebrated excellence and innovation within Ghana's manufacturing sector.
This year’s event focused on the critical role of manufacturing in advancing Ghana’s 24-hour economy agenda. Organised by Xodus Communications Limited, the awards were sponsored by PayAngel and JP Fuel Delivery. The ceremony took place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
The awards provide a snapshot of the nation's industrial progress. Ghana continues to focus on boosting its manufacturing output to create jobs and diversify its economy beyond raw material exports. The manufacturing sector is seen as a key driver for creating value-added products and reducing reliance on imports.
Professor George Agyei, the Acting Director-General of the Ghana Standards Authority, urged manufacturers to prioritize compliance with standards. He stated that adhering to standards is essential for accessing both local and international markets. Non-compliant products can become liabilities rather than assets for the nation.
Richard Abbey Jnr., founder and CEO of Xodus Communications, underscored the importance of innovation. He highlighted that the awards acknowledge not just production achievements, but also corporate social responsibility. This includes community support and contributions to social initiatives.
