Member of Parliament for Wa West, Superintendent (Rtd) Peter Lanchene Toobu, has called for calm and professionalism in Wechiau. He urged police to exercise restraint and residents to choose dialogue over violence. This follows the death of youth leader Abu Tijani, known as "Master One."
Master One died at the hospital after allegedly leading police to the burial sites of two young men. These men were reportedly murdered in Kandeu on November 23, 2025. His death has heightened tensions in the Wechiau area, prompting the MP's intervention.
