Ignatius Kwesi Afrifa has been elected the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Western Regional Chairman. He secured a decisive victory in the party’s regional executive elections.
Mr. Afrifa, a former Amenfi West parliamentary candidate, polled 265 votes. His contender, Abdul Ganiyu Mohammed, obtained 102 votes, with one ballot rejected. This outcome positions Afrifa to lead the party’s regional efforts.
This election forms part of the NPP’s nationwide exercise to elect regional executives. These executives will oversee the party’s reorganisation and preparations. Amoabeng Acheampong was elected Organiser with 181 votes. Emmanuel Acquah Mensah won the Communications Director position with 212 votes. Osagyefo Attiah Kwaw became Youth Organiser with 197 votes. Augustina Nketiah emerged as Women’s Organiser with 193 votes. Nana Adwoa Appiah recorded 262 votes to become Treasurer. Adam Harun Ahmed was elected Nasara Organiser with 190 votes. These appointments complete the regional executive team.
