Former National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has declared his intention to become the party's next National Chairman. He stated he is the youngest among 13 aspirants vying for the position. Nana Boakye, known as Nana B, also claims to be the most experienced candidate in the race.
Nana B filed his nomination and immediately highlighted his unique advantage. He emphasized his extensive experience across various levels of the party. This journey began at the grassroots and extended to national and international fronts. His long-standing involvement positions him as a strong contender for the top leadership role.

“Mr Chairman, I can say that when I went through the list of all the aspirants, I am the youngest among them all,” Nana B stated. At the regional level, Nana B served as a campaign team member and a communications team member. Nationally, he directed Events and Programmes for the National Youth Movement. He also held positions as National Youth Organiser and National Organiser. These roles demonstrate his progression through key party structures.
He further highlighted his eight-year service on critical national bodies. These include the National Steering Committee, National Executive Committee, and National Council. “I have been an eight-year National Steering Committee member, eight years National Executive Committee member and eight years National Council member,” he affirmed. This consistent involvement showcases his institutional knowledge.
Nana B also pointed to his international experience. He was twice elected Chairman of the International Young Democracy Union (IYDU). These elections took place in Amsterdam and later in Belgium. This global exposure adds another dimension to his leadership profile.
