Joseph Kobinah Esibu has been elected the Central Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Mr. Esibu secured 278 votes in the party’s regional executive elections, a decisive victory.
His main contender, Percy Dennis, received 161 votes. This election outcome positions Mr. Esibu to lead the NPP's regional operations. The new leadership aims to strengthen the party's presence and prepare for future political contests.

Several other key positions were also filled during the elections. Kojo Halm was elected First Vice Chairman, securing 271 votes. Meshack Kweku Amoafo became the Second Vice Chairman with 220 votes. Takyi Mensah emerged as Secretary, polling 283 votes against Armstrong Esaah's 157 votes.
Anthony Sackey won the Organiser position with 333 votes, demonstrating strong support. Charles Odoom was elected Deputy Secretary with 257 votes. Francis Asare secured the Treasurer position with 244 votes, defeating Mustapha Mohammed.
In the Youth Organiser race, Odeneho Kwakye Appiah emerged victorious with 189 votes. Lawrence Edutuah Essiaw followed with 131 votes, and David Essandoh received 118 votes. Agyeman Asiedu was elected Communications Director with 233 votes, beating two other contenders. Charlotte Adwo Antwi won the Women’s Organiser position with 302 votes. King Dgagada emerged as Nasara Organiser with 207 votes. These elections reflect a comprehensive restructuring of the party's regional leadership.
