Police in Ghana's Northern Region have seized 170 parcels of suspected Indian hemp and arrested two individuals. This significant drug bust occurred during an intelligence-led operation in Tamale on Monday, July 27, 2026.

Officers first apprehended 32-year-old Godwin Yamegi with two parcels of suspected Indian hemp. His interrogation led police to 33-year-old Seth Amekuse, identified as his supplier, where an additional 168 parcels were discovered.
