The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has launched a nationwide initiative to collect classroom furniture for basic, junior, and senior high schools experiencing significant shortages across Ghana. This program, named the Collective Furniture Appeal, aims to improve learning conditions for students nationwide.
The initiative operates under GETFund’s Education Financing and Partnership Initiative (EFPI). It seeks to engage a broad range of stakeholders, including corporate organizations, development partners, alumni associations, religious bodies, civil society groups, philanthropists, and individuals. These groups are encouraged to donate essential items such as metal mono and dual desks, chairs for students, bunk beds, and teachers’ tables and chairs.
