The annual Empower Vault Summit will convene on Friday, August 14, at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana. This event serves as a high-impact leadership and mentorship platform. It aims to equip young people with essential skills, values, and mindsets for future success.
Organised by Stables and Horses in partnership with the Office of the University of Ghana SRC Vice President, the summit targets young people across Ghana. Its core purpose is to provide clarity of purpose, strong personal values, and practical tools. These tools are for leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal development.
Former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is expected to attend as the Guest of Honour. A distinguished lineup of public officials, business leaders, and industry personalities will engage participants. This includes Osman Abdulai Ayariga, CEO of the National Youth Authority, and John Dumelo. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Minority Leader and MP for Effutu, will also speak. George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, is another key speaker.
Other notable speakers include Dr. Dora Oforiwaa Hall, CEO of Zoe Dental, and Bayo Adedeji. Bola Ray, CEO of EIB Network, Ewura Karim Adams, and Prof. Rosina Kyerematen, Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Ghana, will also participate. These diverse voices aim to provide broad perspectives to attendees.
The summit will feature breakout sessions designed for more intimate and practical engagement. Influential voices and young personalities like Endurance Grand, Nyamewaa, Willie Chembez, and Asiedu Mends will lead these sessions. This format allows for direct interaction and tailored guidance.
A major attraction of the summit is an entrepreneurship challenge. Students will have the opportunity to pitch their businesses and present innovative ideas. They will compete for a GHS 10,000 cash prize. This challenge provides a platform for emerging entrepreneurs to gain visibility and receive feedback. Joey Joseph Nii Ayi Otokunor, Senior Project Manager and Brand Strategist for the Empower Vault Summit, leads the project's strategic direction. Otokunor added that Empower Vault connects young people with leaders, mentors, and opportunities to shape their future.
