An officer of the Ghana Immigration Service, identified as Amoakoh, died in a fatal motorbike crash in Assin Fosu, Central Region. The tragic accident happened around 1:00 am as the motorbike travelled towards the Assin Fosu main lorry station. Eyewitness Joseph Okyere reported the motorbike was moving at extreme speed on the largely deserted highway. It suddenly veered off the road, crashing into a concrete staircase near the Assin Fosu Town Market at Ajeep. Amoakoh, the pillion passenger, reportedly was not wearing a helmet and struck his head against a roadside gutter. He died at the scene.
