The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has officially handed over eight basic school facilities. These schools are located within the Aayalolo Cluster. Contractors will now begin extensive renovation works.
These improvements are designed to boost teaching and learning conditions. The projects are part of the Assembly's planned infrastructure upgrade program. They will provide a safer and more suitable environment for pupils and teachers alike.
The beneficiary schools include Central Mosque 1 & 2 Primary School. Akoto Lante Basic School is also included. Amamomo 3 Ashia Mills Junior High School will be renovated. Accra Presby Primary School is another recipient. The Aayalolo Cluster of Schools benefits greatly from this initiative.
Musah Ziyad, the Presiding Member of the AMA, called the renovation a significant intervention. He noted that these facilities had seen very little improvement over many years. This work represents one of the largest renovation efforts for these schools in a long time. Assembly Members had previously raised concerns about the poor state of the buildings. They had appealed for government assistance.
Mr. Ziyad praised the Mayor of Accra, Michael Kpakpo Allotey. He also commended the Assembly's leadership. They prioritized these important projects. The renovations will help improve the learning environment. This will lead to better educational results for the students.
A representative for the contractors spoke at the site handover. They assured the Assembly and school authorities of their dedication. They promised to deliver high-quality work on time. Only durable and top-quality materials will be used. This ensures the renovated facilities will serve the schools for many years. The goal is to build infrastructure that lasts and supports teaching and learning for future generations.
These renovations are expected to solve long-standing infrastructure problems. They will improve the overall education experience for thousands of pupils in the Aayalolo Cluster. The AMA's investment signals a commitment to improving public education facilities. Such infrastructure upgrades are vital for national development.
