    GNPC Explorco and Tamale Technical University (TaTU) have formalized a strategic partnership to train Ghana’s next generation of petroleum professionals. This collaboration aims to close the gap between the upstream petroleum industry and academic institutions, targeting a more skilled workforce.

    The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a clear framework for technical knowledge exchange and capacity building. This agreement will also facilitate collaborative skills development for students and industry personnel. Key leaders from both organizations attended the signing ceremony, showing a joint commitment to this initiative.

    This partnership is crucial for Ghana’s broader economic development by strengthening the energy sector's human capital. Ghana's oil and gas industry is a significant contributor to government revenue and economic growth.     The Vice-Chancellor of TaTU, Professor Bashiru Imoro Ibn Saeed, signed the document on behalf of the university. Delegations from GNPC Explorco's Corporate Affairs and Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) teams attended, underscoring the partnership's focus on sustainable operational practices.
