The Luv FM Kel Charcoal Toothpaste High School Debate has officially commenced its seventh annual edition. This competition gathers 20 senior high schools from the Ashanti Region, providing a platform for students to engage in robust discussions on critical national issues.
The annual inter-schools event focuses on topical social, economic, and national development issues. It equips young people with essential skills for responsible citizenship and future leadership. This year's debate will address subjects such as illegal mining, flooding, rising fuel prices, education, corruption, and systemic social injustices.

Event coordinator Eric Nkoom stated, "The competition is more than just a contest to determine the best debating school. He also encouraged teachers to allow students to undertake their own research, avoiding reliance on prepared debate scripts.

The 2026 edition, which began on Monday, August 10, marks seven years for the Luv FM Kel Charcoal Toothpaste High School Debate. Finalists will receive rewards for their hard work, research, and creative submissions. Prizes depend on the level of sponsorship secured for the year.
The competition's growth raises expectations for another series of thought-provoking debates and intense intellectual exchanges.
