MTN Ghana employees are dedicating 21 days to improving healthcare access for communities with limited services. The company launched its 2026 Y'ello Care campaign on Monday, June 1, 2026. This initiative focuses on underserved and remote areas across Ghana. The campaign aims to bring better healthcare closer to people who need it most.

The 21 Days of Y'ello Care campaign centers on the theme, “Expanding Equitable Health for Every Community.” Employees will work to restore broken hospital beds and support health facilities. They will also conduct health screenings for residents and promote ways to prevent diseases. Handwashing stations will be set up in schools. Health champions will receive training to continue awareness efforts after the 21 days end. This year’s focus on healthcare addresses critical needs in rural areas.

This campaign fits into MTN Ghana's ongoing commitment to national development. The MTN Ghana Foundation has a history of investing in health infrastructure. This employee volunteer effort complements those investments. It highlights how corporate action can support government priorities. The 2026 campaign also marks MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary. This milestone underscores the company's dedication to social impact beyond its core business.

Adwoa Wiafe, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer at MTN Ghana, stated the company's commitment. She highlighted how Y'ello Care has become a core part of MTN's culture over its 19 years. "Y'ello Care is no longer just an activity on our calendar," Wiafe said. "It is something we look forward to every year because it gives us the opportunity to make a personal commitment to the communities that have contributed to our success." She added that the focus on healthcare was driven by the need to improve access in rural areas where services are scarce.

Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, officially launched the programme. He praised MTN Ghana for aligning its efforts with national health priorities. He emphasized that partnerships between government and companies are crucial. "When corporate Ghana aligns its interventions with national priorities, we achieve results faster," the Minister explained. This collaboration helps ensure that healthcare reaches everyone.

Over the next three weeks, hundreds of MTN employees will volunteer their time and skills. They will implement projects aimed at improving health outcomes. The campaign will span all regions of Ghana. This initiative shows MTN's dedication to driving social impact and contributing to Ghana's development, especially as the company celebrates its 30th anniversary.
