Holy Insecticides Donates GHS 100,000 in Flood Relief to Accra Assemblies

Holy Insecticides, imported and distributed by Bon Arrive Ltd, donated GHS 100,000 worth of malaria prevention products to four municipal assemblies in the Greater Accra Region. This significant contribution supports communities affected by the June 29 floods. The donation aims to mitigate public health risks following the natural disaster.

The donation, made on July 7, 2026, included 2,400 cans of Holy Mosquito Spray and 6,000 packs of Holy Mosquito Coil. These products were distributed to the Ayawaso West, Ayawaso Central, Weija Gbawe, and Krowor Municipal Assemblies. The initiative directly responds to the increased risk of mosquito-borne diseases, such as malaria, after extensive flooding.

This corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort from Bon Arrive Ltd aligns with a broader trend of private sector involvement in disaster relief and public health campaigns in Ghana. Floods frequently highlight the need for robust public health infrastructure and preventative measures. Previous data from the Ghana Health Service often shows a rise in malaria cases in affected areas post-flooding events. This makes such donations crucial for community well-being.

The Holy Marketing team emphasized the brand's commitment to positive community impact beyond its commercial activities. They stated, "Holy believes in supporting communities, especially during challenging periods. This donation is our contribution towards protecting families and helping reduce health risks among affected residents." Mr. Theophilus Gakpo, the Ayawaso West Municipal NADMO Director, speaking for all beneficiaries, acknowledged the support's importance. He said, "After the floods, one of our major concerns is the increased risk of diseases such as malaria and typhoid. This support from Holy will go a long way in helping residents protect themselves and complementing our efforts to safeguard public health."

Looking ahead, this donation sets a precedent for other corporations to engage in similar public health interventions during emergencies. Decision-makers in public health and disaster management will closely monitor the effectiveness of these preventative measures. The private sector’s role in Ghana’s disaster response strategy will likely gain more prominence. This collaboration helps reduce the economic burden of disease outbreaks on the public healthcare system.

The ability of private companies to quickly mobilize resources provides a critical complement to government efforts. Market responses to such CSR initiatives often include enhanced brand perception. This strengthens the company's social license to operate. Continuous monitoring of post-flood health indicators will be essential to evaluate the long-term impact of these contributions.
