The Gold Fields Ghana Foundation has donated relief items valued at GHS 150,000 to communities in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality. This urgent aid supports households severely affected by recent floods.
This significant donation follows an appeal from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO). Flooding had inundated several communities, destroying property and disrupting the livelihoods of countless residents. The affected communities include Effuanta, Akoon, Nsuaem, and Bankyim, among others.

There were also 30 roofing sheets to help rebuild damaged structures. Crucially, the Foundation also provided 10 packs of raincoats, life jackets, and Wellington boots for emergency responders. This protective equipment aims to safeguard NADMO personnel carrying out rescue operations.
