Camelot Ghana Plc, a security printing and manufacturing company, recorded a strong financial performance in 2025. The company's total revenue rose by 31.5 percent year-on-year, reaching GHS 36.97 million.

This significant growth was primarily driven by the company's expanding flexographic (Flexo) business. The Flexo segment contributed 34 percent of total revenue in 2025, up from 23 percent four years earlier. This performance represents a notable turnaround for the company, which saw revenue at GHS 13.41 million in 2022.

This sustained growth aligns with broader positive trends observed in Ghana's manufacturing sector, where companies are diversifying revenue streams. The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) has encouraged listed companies to engage more with investors, fostering transparency. Camelot Ghana's performance demonstrates resilience and strategic adaptation within the competitive Ghanaian market, reflecting a broader push for industrial growth and local production capabilities.

Mr. John Villars, the Managing Director of Camelot Ghana Plc, emphasized the company's commitment to transparency. He stated, "Facts Behind the Figures is about giving the market a transparent, evidence-based view of who we are and where we are going — not just the numbers, but the reasoning behind them." This statement highlights the company's dedication to investor relations and clear communication.

The company's improved financial health has significant implications for its future operations and investor confidence. The positive trend continued into the first half of 2026, with turnover reaching GHS 21.40 million, a nine percent increase over the same period last year. Profit after tax for the first half rose by 19 percent to GHS 2.61 million, indicating sustained profitability. This strong performance positions Camelot Ghana for further expansion and potential market leadership in specialized printing services.

Camelot Ghana's Flexo business has shown remarkable growth, achieving a cumulative increase of 321 percent since 2022. While the traditional cheque business saw a reduction in its proportion of total revenue, its revenue still increased by 140 percent cumulatively since 2022. The traditional business also recorded 102 percent growth over the same period, demonstrating broad-based success across its operations.

The company's financial position has also strengthened considerably. Shareholders' funds moved from a negative position in 2022 to a positive GHS 6.83 million in 2025. This shift reflects improved financial stability and investor confidence in the company's long-term prospects. The profit-after-tax margin for the first half of 2026 improved to 12 percent, marking the highest half-year level recorded during the period.

Looking ahead, Camelot Ghana plans to expand its production capacity to support continued Flexo growth. The company also intends to diversify into digital printing and introduce artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. These strategic initiatives aim to enhance efficiency and broaden its service offerings, ensuring future competitiveness in the evolving printing industry.

Furthermore, Camelot Ghana is pursuing printing opportunities with state institutions and agencies. It also plans to intensify market research, product development, and strengthen employee training and engagement. These efforts are part of a comprehensive strategy to maintain its growth trajectory and adapt to new market demands.

The company is also focusing on sustainability, with plans to introduce more sustainable production practices. This includes using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified and recycled-content paper, along with low-VOC, water-based inks. An energy audit of its Flexo production lines is underway, and the company is working towards a formal sustainability policy in line with GSE disclosure requirements. These initiatives reflect a commitment to environmental responsibility and modern business practices.

Founded in November 1980 by the late Mrs. Elizabeth Joyce Villars, Camelot Ghana has evolved significantly. It started as a computer paper printing company and has grown into a diversified security printing and manufacturing business. The company now serves both Ghana and the wider West African sub-region, showcasing its enduring legacy and adaptability.
