Patrick Owusu, Managing Director of Adom Cocoa Buying Company Limited, has urged the government to ensure that its planned free distribution of fertiliser to cocoa farmers is carried out fairly. Mr. Owusu stated that the fertilizer program should benefit all cocoa farmers, regardless of their political affiliation. He warned that politicizing this initiative could significantly undermine cocoa production across the country. His remarks were made during a meeting with cocoa farmers in Goaso, Ahafo Region, attended by farmers from various cocoa-growing areas, including Ashanti and Eastern regions.
