Over 10 Bole-Bamboi Natives Join Feed Ghana Brigades

More than 10 young men and women from the Bole-Bamboi Constituency have successfully graduated as members of the Feed Ghana Brigades. This initiative aims to strengthen Ghana’s agricultural sector through youth participation. These graduates were part of a larger cohort who completed training at the Tesano Police Training School.

About 500 recruits nationwide finished their training at the Tesano Police Training School. The Feed Ghana Brigades equip young people with knowledge and expertise. These skills support agricultural production and extension services across Ghana. The programme aims to transform agriculture by involving the nation's youth.

This initiative fits into Ghana’s broader strategy to enhance food security and rural economic development. The Feed Ghana programme is designed to increase agricultural output and improve livelihoods. Such programmes are critical for a country where agriculture remains a significant employer and contributor to the Gross Domestic Product. Youth involvement in agriculture can also address unemployment challenges in rural areas effectively.

Dr. Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, the Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, commented on the graduation. He also serves as the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources. Dr. Sulemana stated that the youth's participation reflects commitment to national development through farming. He congratulated all the graduates for embracing this opportunity to serve their country.

Dr. Sulemana further commended the Ministry of Food and Agriculture for introducing this timely intervention. He believes it will empower young people. The initiative also aims to boost food production and agricultural productivity nationwide. These newly trained brigades are expected to play a vital role, especially in districts like Bole.

The Feed Ghana Brigades will help ensure the Bole District benefits fully from an earmarked Farmers Service Centre. This centre will provide critical resources and support to local farmers. Increased agricultural output and improved livelihoods in the area are the expected outcomes. Such localised efforts contribute directly to national economic growth and stability.

The successful integration of these young graduates into the agricultural sector could lead to more efficient farming practices. It could also encourage technological adoption within rural communities. Decision-makers and market analysts will closely observe the programme’s impact on food supply chains. The long-term success of similar youth-focused agricultural initiatives will depend on sustained government investment and resource allocation.
